5-28-2012 Farm AND Ice Cream Festival

On the way to the Velvet Ice Cream Festival, we stopped at Slate Run Farm to visit the animals (and farm equipment).

Dash loved the cool cars at the Ice Cream Festival.

Sadie got to sit in Cinderella's carriage

Sadie also performed some interpretive dance for the locals.

Look at those tires!

They even had a playground for the kids.

5-24-2012 Young's Dairy Farm with Grandma

Sadie and Dash lined up for a pic

Dash was very impressed with the big tractors

Sadie was very impressed (and brave) about the BIG slide!

Wow!

Yummy ice cream at Young's

And we saw the cows that make it (well the milk anyway)

Yummy treats after pictures

Thank you to Jenna and Jordan's mom for the beautiful and delicious frog cookies!

5-20-2012 Sadie's Dance Recital

Dash loves the throwing disk.  (It is a little dangerous because he runs right up to your face to throw to you, naturally hitting unexpected receivers.)

Sadie didn't want me to inadvertently get a picture of anyone but her.

They received medals and shirts after the show.

Miss Julia came all the way from Chicago to see the performance!

Sadie walking out to mobs of adoring fans.

Aunt Lillie came to see the show!

Of course, Sadie's best friend AJ was there!

Where did this crooked smile come from.  CHEESE!

Enthusiastic first position.

5-12-2012 Field of Dreams Game

Fun times at Huntington Field for the Field of Dreams game.  Some local guy won a drawing and he gathered his friends to play against baseball legends.  It was pretty cool.

The players even came out of the corn. (I am sure Adam could tell you who this is.)

Johnny Bench came out with his IPAD to capture the crowd.

I don't even think Sadie watched any of the game - she talked to us the entire time.  And ate, and ate, and ate...  She suckered Grandma into buying her cotton candy.  As you can tell by her face, it was delicious!

Dennis Eckersley Love the 'stache!

5-11-2012 Franklin Park Conservatory (Free Day)

This post contains pictures of our yard and pictures from the free day at Franklin Park conservatory.  For some reason, blogger is uploading the pictures in a random order.  Having our yard pics mixed with the Conservatory pics makes them appear significantly less impressive than what it actually looks like.

It is hard to get a picture of Dash in the Butterfly room.

Mommy has been working hard in the yard. Look at our beautiful green grass and lovely flower beds! (And this is pre-mulch!)

Crazy Sadie

Dash really wants out - or not to be left in a cave alone with Sadie.

Love this pic

The best part of the Conservatory was the giant "lite brite"

We watched the artists blow glass in the hot house.

Dash like the glass balls and giant fish
