2-12-2012 Sadie's face painting

Sadie went to her friend Grace's birthday party and there was a face painter there!

Here are pictures of her beautiful face paint.  (She is posing)

2-8-2012 Miss Julia's Last day

Sadie's dance teacher (and former preschool teacher) is moving to Chicago.  This was Sadie's last dance class with her.

Sadie wanted to say on her note, "I will miss you for a hundred of years"  Her picture is Sadie in her red dress for the Nutcracker and Ms. Julia in a rainbow outfit.

2-2-2012 COSI All the Turner Girls + Dash

Grandma Duffy gave Team Turner a COSI family pass for Christmas.  Since June and JoJo were in town, Grandma Cooper and Mommy loaded all four kids in the car and had a great day.

Once we got to the kids place the girls were fine to go and play in the pretend section, while Grandma and Mommy chased after the babies.

Dash thought the ball-blower was really neat.

Jo Jo loved everything (she did not love when Aunt Katie kept taking her blanket and pacifier and putting them back in the stroller so they wouldn't get lost.)

Dasher

Dash immediately went to work gathering these wagons to make a train.

He found a construction hat to work in.
(I think he needs a haircut)

We finally saw the girls again and amazingly they were SHARING a computer to draw a picture.

At the water table COSI provides these wonderful raincoats for the kids to wear.  Unfortunately when Dash does this move all the water goes up hi sleeves.  He was soaking wet.

JoJo was small enough to fit in the baby splash table.

Sadie made a friend and they worked together to create canals for the water.

Pretty boy

Oops - splashed in the face (Or trying to drink the water).

Our genius daughter.

Dash loved the pretend house - especially the doorbell.

They had a show where a COSI team member brought out animals to pet.
Here she is holding a lizard.  Both Sadie and June were so excited that they talked over the COSI girl and she could barely get out her information.

After the lizard, she brought out a hissing cockroach.  Sadie immediately asked to hold it and was able to hold it many times after it was passed around.  Gross!

June did NOT like the cockroach and reiterated numerous times that it should be put away, she didn't like it, she did NOT want to hold it etc...

She even cringed when it was passed near her.

1-31-2012 Warm January day = zoo visit

Apparently the zoo is open every day except Christmas.  So when the weather guy said "above 50" we headed there after school.  Sadie was in a very good mood and asked if I could take "a lot of pictures of her"

Sadie thought that many animals would be hibernating.  According to her, some animals that we would be able to see were the fish and the penguins.  She was right.
We also saw the tigers.

Look how close the Tiger got!

This is my favorite.

Unlike his sister, Dash was not in a very good mood because he did not take a morning nap.

1-18 and 1-20 Life at the Turner House

After a few years of blogging, I have come the conclusion that January is the worst month for pictures.  With everyone bundled up inside because the weather is dreary outside and the recovery from the obscene amount of photos taken during the holidays, it seems that we always have very little pictures for January.  I didn't even pick up a camera until January 15th this year.  Not a good start for 2012 - but I promise with Dash running a around and Sadie being her usual self. this summer is sure to be a treasure trove pf priceless memories captured on film by yours truly.

Sadie decided to read a book to Dash (and he sat through the whole thing!)

Sadie and I donned our "making outfits" (Sadie's words) and made some cookies with Mommy's new cookie press.

Sadie was all business and didn't think Mommy was funny when she put flour in her nose.

1-15-2012 Sadie is IPOD Crazy

My parents found all of my old Fischer Price storybooks and records.  The record player needed a new needle and they are really hard to find and expensive.  So this year for Christmas we got Sadie her own IPOD and using the record-computer-transfer-thing (I think that is actually the technical name), that gg and Papa gave us a few years ago, we recorded about 10 books onto her new IPOD.

She loves sitting and reading along with the stories.  Recently. she has discovered the Adam put some music on the IPOD too, so she dances around the house (very much like the original IPOD commercials).
